Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a candidate for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to be part of our Department of Defense Services Market Unit. The location is in our St. Louis, MO office.  

General Assignments:  Responsible for development of data, recommendations, and criteria to guide the design and construction of foundations for structures, earthworks, and excavations; and for services associated with field performance of foundations, plans and specifications for foundations and earthworks, construction observations, construction methods and procedures, instrumentation of foundations and earthworks, testing of foundation elements, construction claims, and other services related to earth materials. Experience with locks and dams is preferred. 

Qualifications:  Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with a focus on geotechnical engineering. A Masters degree in geotechnical engineering is preferred.   Position requires a PE and a minimum of 6 years experience. Ability to write clearly and concisely and computer skills are required.  Candidate must be willing to accept out-of-town travel assignments and to work overtime to meet project demands.
