General Assignment: For commissioning projects, work involves functioning as the commissioning authority, managing commissioning meetings, monitoring construction, witnessing system installation and functional testing, ensuring all forms have been completed and signed off, assisting in M&O training, and post-occupancy walk throughs. For building audits and assessments, work with the project architects and engineers to survey sites/facilities and verify/assess condition of equipment and systems. Work involves administration of construction activities, including shop drawing logs, RFI responses and logs, and on-site observation and field report documentation. Must be willing to accept out-of-town travel assignments to meet project demands.
Qualifications: Position requires at least four years experience as a Commissioning specialist or lead. Minimum of ten years experience in the A/E design/construction industry is also required. Position requires strong experience with construction and knowledge of building mechanical (HVAC & Plumbing) and electrical systems, including system start-up and testing. Experience with commissioning approach and methodology, strong communication skills and organized documentation of data is important. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
